Traumatic Brain Injury Care in SE Michigan
Focused on In-Home Recovery and Support.
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is a complex injury with a broad spectrum of symptoms and disabilities. The severity of a TBI can range from "mild"- a brief change in mental status or consciousness, to "severe"- which generally consists of an extended period of unconsciousness or amnesia after the injury, dramatically affecting the individual's ability to function and live independently.
While many survivors are admitted into 'inpatient' TBI rehab programs, many survivors choose to live in their own homes, surrounded by family and friends who are eager to support them as they strive to heal and reach their optimum level of recovery.
For these clients, EMS works with a highly accredited team of Physicians, Nurses, Case Managers and Therapists to direct and promote the specialized care and assistance to achieve optimal rehabilitation and independence at home and in the community.
